Terry Alford
Pastor
Terry began his relationship with Jesus as a young boy. He became serious in his walk in 1975 while attending Adams Center Baptist Church with his wife Cathy. Terry held many positions including worship leader while under Pastor James McEathron. There came an an interruption in his walk with God in the mid 80's until 1997. It was then he was encouraged by his friend, Tom Wilson, to start attending Smithville Baptist Church where Tom was pastor.
In 2004 Terry and his family went through a life changing experience in which God proved to him that He was faithful and that he does answer prayer. Terry renewed that serious walk, experiencing God's restoration of the lost time.
For the next few years Terry traveled to several area churches to fill in an empty pulpit. This led to Smithville Baptist Church ordaining him into ministry in 2010. He was the associate Pastor until 2015, when he assumed the position of lead pastor.
Terry believes the Bible to be the infallible Word of God. His desire is to bring people to a place of victorious living with Jesus, holding onto His many promises, walking in love with God and with His people.
Terry lives with his wife, Cathy, in Mannsville. They enjoy the blessing of their three beautiful daughters, their mates and nine grandchildren
